| Stove Top Lasagna Serves 4 ½ pound ground beef ½ pound hot Italian sausage, casing removed 1 ½ cup pasta sauce 1 cup water 6 ounces bow tie pasta ½ cup fresh spinach, chopped ¼ cup ricotta cheese ¼ cup sour cream ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated ¼ cup basil, chopped 1 ½ teaspoon onion powder 1 ½ teaspoon garlic powder ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes ¼ teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon black pepper 1 egg 1 Tablespoon flour In a pan over medium heat add beef, sausage, garlic powder, onion powder and crushed red pepper. Cook and stir mixture until done. Drain off excess oil. Place pan with meat mixture back on stove. Add the water and, sauce. Stir that in. Then add pasta to pan. Mix well. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover with lid and cook until pasta is done. About 20 minutes. While the pasta is cooking add sour cream, ricotta, egg, spinach, Parmesan, basil, and flour to a bowl. Stir well. Add the salt and pepper and mix that in well. Spoon cheese mixture over cooked pasta and cover with lid and let cook on low another 5 minutes. Cheese will have set, gently fold cheese into pasta several times. Serve right away. Enjoy. Peace, CK |
