| Steak with Black Pepper Bacon Relish 1 ½ panko or regular bread crumbs ½ cup of flour ¼ cup of flour 6 Tablespoons water ½ pound thin cut top round steak ½ teaspoon salt ¼ teaspoon black pepper vegetable oil for frying Relish ½ pound thick cut bacon ¼ stick of butter 2 ½ teaspoon ranch seasoning 3 green onions, chopped black pepper to taste Add panko to large shallow dish and set aside. Add 6 Tablespoons of water and ¼ cup flour to a medium bowl and stir well. Add steak into a zip top bag, Add salt and pepper to bag. Add flour to zip top bag. Zip the top and give it a good shake. Covering everything well. Dip each piece of steak in flour water mix and then into panko, you can use regular bread crumbs if desired. Finish all the steak pieces and lay a baking sheet. Add oil in a large pan over medium high, ¼ up the pan of oil is enough and fry these coated steaks until the bread crumbs are a nice golden brown. Flip once and set them aside. Sprinkle bacon with black pepper, mixing it well and cook it up until it's crispy. And the butter, ranch seasoning, green onions and microwave just until butter has melted. Add bacon and stir. Retrieve cooked steak and top with the black pepper bacon relish. If you like squirt some hot sauce on top. Serve right away. |
