| Honey BBQ Wings 4 -6 servings Ingredients 3 pounds of chicken wings, cut in to wing dings, tips discarded, cleaned Wing seasoning 2 teaspoons chili powder 1 ½ teaspoon salt 1 ½ teaspoon black pepper 1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika 1 ½ teaspoon garlic powder Honey BBQ sauce 1 cup ketchup ½ cup honey ¼ cup butter, melted 1 Tablespoon apple cider vinegar 1 Tablespoon brown sugar ½ Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce ½ teaspoon smoked paprika ½ teaspoon onion powder ½ teaspoon garlic powder ¼ teaspoon Dijon mustard ¼ teaspoon cumin ¼ teaspoon black pepper Preheat over to 330F. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with a silpat, parchment paper or foil. If using foil spray on some vegetable oil and spread it out to prevent sticking. In a large bowl add chicken, and wing seasoning ingredients. With clean hands mix chicken with seasoning covering the chicken well. Place seasoned chicken on baking sheet in single layer. Bake for 25 minutes, flip chicken and bake for 15-25 more additional minutes or until crispy and cooked through. While the chicken is cooking add Ketchup, vinegar, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, mustard, cumin and black pepper to a saucepan over low heat. Cook and stir until well combined and heated through. Stir in melted butter and honey. Pour into a large bowl and set aside. Once chicken is done baking add chicken pieces to honey bbq sauce and coat well. Wipe off your silpat or replace your parchment paper or foil with clean lining. Place chicken pieces on baking sheet and bake an additional 10-15 minutes to caramelized the sauce. Remove from over. Serve. Enjoy. Peace, CK |
