Spaghetti with Little Hot Dogs
Serves 6
1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1/2 pound of spaghetti
1/4 c olive oil
4 hot dogs
1/4 c chopped onions
2 cls garlic, chopped
1/4 t black pepper
1/4 t red pepper flakes (optional)
salt to taste
Cook pasta according to package directions.
Saute hot dogs in 1 teaspoon of the olive oil until browned over medium low heat in nonstick pan.
Remove and set aside. Pour the rest of the oil in the pan and saute over medium low, until soft, about 2 or 3 minutes, add garlic and saute for about 1 minute more.
Add the tomatoes, and seasonings, stir well. Turn to low and simmer, uncovered for 15-20 minutes.
You will end up with 3 cups of sauce, I use 2 cups and use the rest of the sauce for something else, it depends on how saucy you like it. Mix the hot dogs, spaghetti and sauce together and serve right away. Enjoy.
