French Dip Sandwich
Makes 3 sandwiches
3, six oz French rolls or rolls of your choice, split
6 slices of provolone or Swiss cheese
10 oz package of roast beef, or homemade roast beef
10.5 oz can of French onion soup
1 ½ c French fried onions
¼ t black pepper
Prepare a baking dish with foil, parchment paper or a silpat. In a medium pot add soup, and beef. Stir until warm. Meanwhile butter both sides of rolls and place on baking sheet.
When the soup and beef mixture is warm spoon beef evenly over one side of each roll. Reserve the rest of soup for dipping.
Add French fried onions evenly over sandwiches. Add 2 slices of provolone or Swiss cheese to each sandwich. Leave opened faced because you want the inside of the top roll to slightly toast. Broil until cheese melts. Remove from oven, place over top rolls. Serve these tasty French dip sandwiches with reserved soup. Enjoy.
Peace,
