Super Easy Eggnog
Serves 5
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup light cream
1 1/2 Cloves, Whole
¼ t Cinnamon
½ t vanilla
1 pinch nutmeg
3 egg yolks
¼ c sugar
2 T sugar
DIRECTIONS
In a saucepan over low heat add cream, milk, cloves, and cinnamon. Whisk ingredients well, cook the mixture until it starts to boil a little.
In a large bowl, add sugar, and egg yolks. Using an electric hand mixer beat the sugar and egg yolks until turn a pale yellow. Slowly pour a little of the hot milk mixture into the egg mixture whisking the entire time.
Repeat a couple of more times and then pour the entire milk mixture into the egg mixture. Add vanilla and whisk that in.
Strain the mixture and pour back into the sauce pan. Cook and stir over medium low until the egg nog can coat the back of a spoon.
Pour into a glass pitcher and refrigerate until chilled. Enjoy.
