Makes 6 Ingredients 1 ¼ cup Bisquick or 1 /14 cup of homemade Bisquick below 2 Tablespoons cold, cubed butter ¾ cup cheddar cheese ¼ cup milk plus additional 2 Tablespoons milk 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder Butter topping 2 Tablespoons butter ¼ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon dried parsley 1/8 teaspoon black pepper Preheat oven to 400f or 204c. Prepare a baking sheet with silpat or parchment paper. In a large bowl add Bisquick and butter. Using a folk or pastry cutter and cut in butter until all Bisquick is covered and butter becomes pea sized. Add cheese, garlic powder and milk and stir until dough just comes together. If it looks a little crumbly that's fine. Using ¼ cup measure scoop out 6 biscuits and place on lined baking sheet. Bake for 12 -15 minutes. While biscuits are baking add butter topping ingredients to a bowl, microwave until butter is melted. Stir and set aside. Biscuits are ready when browned on bottom and cooked through. Remove from cooling rack. Bush right butter topping and serve right away. Homemade Bisquick 3 cups flour ½ cup shortening 1 ½ Tablespoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt Toss all ingredients in a food processor and blend until combined. |
