Panko Bread Crumbs
Makes About 2 cups Ingredients 1 loaf white bread Take bread out of package and allow to dry 8 to 24 hours. Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and set aside. Cut all crust off of bread and discard. In a food processor with the shredding blade process the entire loaf in small batches. Spread out on baking sheet in a thin layer and bake until very lightly toasted being careful not to develop very much color on your panko. This can take from 4 or 5 minutes or longer depending on your oven. Store in airtight container for one week, or freeze up to 2 months. Enjoy. Peace, CK |
