Fruit Bars
Makes 8 - 16 bars Ingredients 1 cup flour 1 cup fruit spread ½ cup oatmeal ½ cup sugar 1 and ½ sticks of butter, room temperature ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract 1/8 teaspoon salt Preheat oven to 365 degrees Fahrenheit. Butter a 8 by 8 baking dish. Add ½ of all ingredients EXCEPT the fruit spread and vanilla extract to food processor and process for a few seconds. Add the rest of the ingredients but the fruit spread to food processor until combined. Add half of the dough to the bottom of prepared baking dish. Spread over fruit spread. Cover top of dough with blobs of remaining dough over the top of the bars. Bake in preheated oven until golden brown on the bottom and top, about 25 to 35 minutes. Let cool, run knife around edges and cut into eight bars. If you want smaller bars cut into sixteen bars. Enjoy.
