Easy Dirty Rice
Serves 4-6 1 pound breakfast sausage 15 ounce low sodium chicken broth 1/2 cup uncooked rice 2 tablespoons bell pepper, chopped small 2 tablespoons onion, chopped small 2 Tablespoon celery, chopped small 1 teaspoon dried onion flakes 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Brown sausage in pot over medium heat until it's almost done. Add onions and bell pepper and cook until they become a little soft. Drain mixture and bring put pot back on stove. Add all other ingredients and stir. Bring to a bowl, cover the pot, reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes or until the rice is cooked through. Enjoy. Peace, CK |
