1 cup walnuts, chopped
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
¾ cup light corn syrup
¼ cup maple syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
In a sauce pan over medium low heat add the sugar, water, corn syrup, maple syrup and stir. You want to stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves and it becomes clear.
Let the sugary mixture come to a boil.
Once the mixture starts a robust boil stir in the walnuts and bring the works back up to a boil.
Now stir the mixture for 2-3 minutes. Remove from the heat and pour into heat proof container and let cool.
You can keep in fridge for two weeks just make sure you put a tight fitting lid on top.
Spoon some over ice cream, pancakes or waffles. Enjoy.
