What’s easier than pulling a can of sloppy joe mix and stirring it into some ground beef and feeding some hungry kids? Well, this isn’t as easy as that but it’s pretty freaking easy and quick too, besides it’s homemade and taste better.
Turkey can be used instead of ground beef and if you go that route no draining is needed.
Sloppy Joes

3/4 lb Ground Beef 80/20
2/3 c beer
1/2 c onions, diced
1/4 c Ketchup
3 T Roasted Cherry Tomatoes, chopped (recipe below)
2 Serrano Peppers, or 1/2 bell peppers, diced small
2 cl minced garlic
2 T chili powder
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1/2 t seasoned salt
1/4 t black pepper
4 hamburger buns
In a nonstick pot over medium low heat, brown ground beef, drain. Add pot back to the stove and add all other ingredients, stir well. Add top and cook for 20 -30 minutes. Spoon Sloppy Joe mix onto buns. Serve hot. Enjoy.
Roasted Cherry Tomatoes
2 c cherry tomatoes cut in half
olive
salt
pepper
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with foil or line with parchment paper. Add tomatoes to the sheet. Drizzle tomatoes with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Rub oil, salt and pepper all over tomatoes. Bake for 45-55 minutes, stirring occasionally.
