Easy Pepper Steak
Serves 4
1 lb thin top sirloin, cut against the grain into strips
1 ½ c beef broth
1 bell pepper, green, yellow or red, chopped into 1 inch pieces
1 medium onion, chopped into 1 inch pieces
3 T corn starch
3 T soy sauce
1 T vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic minced
¼ t black pepper
Cooked rice
In a bowl add corn starch, soy sauce, black pepper and garlic. Mix well and set aside.
Get a frying pan or wok over medium heat. Let the pan heat up for 30 seconds. Add the vegetable oil to pan and let it heat up for 45 more seconds. Add the steak and stir fry until brown and starts to get just a little crispy.
Add the peppers and onions and stir well. Cook and stir for 2 minutes. Pour in beef broth. Add cornstarch and soy sauce slurry to pan. Stir and cook until sauce thickens. Serve over rice. Enjoy.
Peace,
CK
