4.4 oz milk chocolate, use your favorite, broken up
2 T + 1 t sugar
2 T + 1/2 t corn starch
1 1/2 c milk
1/2 c heavy whipping cream
1 t vanilla extract
1/8 t salt
In a non-stick pot over medium heat whisk together corn starch, sugar, cocoa powder and salt. Pour in the milk and cream and increase the heat to medium high.
Whisk and cook until the mixture starts to thicken. It should coat the back of a spoon. Pour into a heat proof bowl.
Whisk in vanilla and chocolate until chocolate has melted and everything is well combined. Cover bowl with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 2 or 3 hours. Serve. Enjoy.
