2 1/8 cup sugar
1 3/4 cups cakes flour
1 cup milk
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup cocoa powder
2 eggs (room temperature)
2 1/4 vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven 350 degrees
Butter and flour a bundt pan
Sift the flour and cocoa powder and add to a large bowl add the dry ingredients and whisk well. Now add wet ingredients (EXCEPT BOILING WATER) and stir it around until combine. Then blend for two minutes on medium with electric mixer. Stir in boiling water. Pour into pan and bake for 35-45 minutes. Let cool for 10-15 before removing from the pan. Loosen edges of cake with plastic knife before removing. Frost with frosting of your choice, or the one below. Enjoy.
Chocolate Frosting
3 2/3 cup of powdered sugar
1/2 cup of cocoa powder
6 Tablespoons of butter
1/4 cup of whole milk
1 1/2 teaspoonspoon of vanilla extract
pinch of salt
Sift sugar and cocoa power in big bowl, add other ingredients and stir until combined. Finish with electric mixer on medium until the frosting is smooth.
