Beer and Cheddar BreadIngredients
3 cups flour 1 cup 4 cheddar cheese blend or sharp cheddar cheese 12 ounce beer 1/4 cup sugar 1 Tablespoon melted butter 1 Tablespoon baking powder 1 jalapeno, diced small 1 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon black pepper Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a loaf pan by brushing the loaf pan with vegetable oil. Set aside. In a large bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and pepper really well. Stir in cheese and jalapeno if using. Pour in beer and mix that in. Pour into loaf pan. Bake for 35 minutes and pour melted butter over the top. Bake for another 25 -25 minutes or until bread becomes golden brown on top. Remove from oven and let rest for 10-15 minutes. Remove to a cooling rack and let cool completely. Slice and enjoy with butter or however you like. Enjoy. |
