5 TIPS FOR A STRESS FREE FOOTBALL PARTY!
I love watching football. It is my absolute favorite sport. Period.
I love to serve yummy easy to eat food. I also appreciate easy clean up. Another thing important to me is actually enjoying my friends company and the actual game itself. So here is my 5 Tips for a Stress Free Football Party.
#1 SERVE EASY TO EAT FOODS
When I'm planning or catering a football, or any sports party for that matter, my game plan is the same. Simple, flavorful foods that are easy to eat.
#2 MAKE SOME DISHES, BUY SOME DISHES
There's no point in going full dinner party for a football game because more of the focus will be on the sport. Yes, people will get hungry and they will eat a lot. But gourmet food and watching football on TV doesn't mix. The focus will be on the game, not your gourmet dish. Save your gourmet dishes for your next dinner party where they will be appreciated more.
#3 GO WITH DISPOSABLE
Use paper, and disposable cups, plates, spoons, folks and napkins. After the big game you don't want a big clean up. Especially if your team got knocked out of the playoffs.
#4 HAVE EVERYONE ELSE BRING SOMETHING
Have your buddies bring the beer, wine, disposable plates, and maybe even dessert. You don't have to do everything. Remember you want to enjoy the game too.
#5 HAVE TRASH CANS WHERE YOU EAT
Have small trash cans in the room folks are watching the game, one near every couch area so everyone can just toss the used stuff in there right away making later clean up a breeze.
